A 2050 NRV MPO Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) Task Order was signed November 20, 2023 with completion by December 2025.

The New River Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (NRV-MPO) is a transportation policymaking organization.
We serve the Towns of Blacksburg and Christiansburg, the City of Radford, and parts of Montgomery and Pulaski counties. The MPO provides the information, tools and public input necessary to improve the performance of the transportation system of the region.
